The man who can get money into your business quick – Sedulo’s Senior Funding Manager, Stephen Dinsmore.
On Monday 4th December 2017, the Sedulo Funding Solutions team welcomed it’s latest funding manager to the fray in the form of Yorkshire-bred Stephen Dinsmore.
The former HSBC, RBS and Aldermore stalwart joined the team shortly after their first birthday celebrations, bringing with him a solid ten years of experience in finding funding for businesses of all shapes and sizes.Stephen’s experience allowed him to hit the ground running, funding his first deal in only his second week.
During his welcome interview Stephen revealed his loves for food, Tough Mudder and Star Wars – however we caught up with him to get his take on his first couple of months within the Regency Club walls and see how he is getting on…
First things first – how do you take your coffee?
My favourite is probably a white chocolate mocha from Starbucks.
What has been your favourite thing about Sedulo so far?
The culture – everyone looks after the client and each other.Nothing is too much trouble for our clients and that resonates from the top down.
The Regency Club being part of the office helps as well!
What is your biggest success or achievement so far here?
In my first full month I’ve helped a business raise funds for a £2.3m property development.
The business was really struggling before we got involved, having been let down by another broker.
Both business owners have had a bit of bad luck but are really nice guys so to get an offer on the table for this business was amazing.
What do you think makes Sedulo different?
Our holistic approach to looking after our clients, meaning that we can help businesses and business owners no matter what position their business is in.
What is next in the pipeline for you and Sedulo Funding?
The biggest thing in the pipeline is the new Leeds office, which is set to be opening in Q2 of this year. The plans for the office sound amazing and the purchase of the new practice allows us to offer something unique to Leeds businesses. It also means a lot less time for me on the M62!
Do you have any top tips or mottos you live by?
Not really – I always try and do the right thing by the client. I have huge admiration for businesses owners – taking a risk and setting something up from scratch takes serious balls! Any funding solutions that we can help them with make this job very enjoyable.
