We believe in the mantra that high performance follows happiness, so it’s our aim to create an environment that people want to work in.
Initiatives such as our weekly Team Happiness Score and annual Team Engagement Survey tell us the areas of our business that our team members like and don’t like. A common topic that our team feed back to us that is vital to their happiness is a state-of-the-art workspace, which is why we annually invest heavily into our surroundings to promote good phsyical, social and mental health.
As soon as you walk into the reception at any of our four city-centre office locations, you’ll be surrounded by unique and contemporary décor. Each room has its own individual personality, including the Walt Disney meeting room in the Manchester office, which is equipped with a wall of pick-and-mix sweets, or our outdoor Liverpool Garden with views of the river Mersey and iconic Liver Building. We believe that working in such an impressive environment inspires our employees and boosts productivity and happiness.
Sedulo’s Founder, Paul Cheetham-Karcz, has always considered office design to be a key element in achieving growth, and he’s certainly proven that notion. Since moving to our new space in Regency Court, turnover increased by £1.3m in the first 12 months.

In order to bring his vision for the offices to life, Paul worked with Urbanise Construction, who have a wealth of knowledge on all things construction and have a fantastic reputation for delivering quality work in cities around the North West and the UK. They asked Paul what his inspirations for the space were, and found that he had several, including an office in Stockholm where he used to work, Google’s Head Office in Dublin, and a boutique hotel in Barcelona.
Paul says:
“In the early stages, I took the team on a holiday to Barcelona, and in the hotel, I remember looking around the room and thinking everyone was having such a great time! People were mingling and interacting with different departments, so I wanted to take that and bring it to the centre of Manchester.”
The facilities within our offices were designed with physical and mental well-being in mind. We understand the importance of work-life balance, and we know that this is what new talent is looking for. As such, there’s plenty of breakout areas, outdoor spaces, and even a bar fully stocked with soft drinks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

According to the Society for Human Resource Management, a well-designed and comfortable office space plays a significant role in enhancing employee satisfaction. In fact, 94% of employees believe that a positive work environment is crucial for job satisfaction and overall success (SHRM, 2019).
Paul says,
“We want the best talent moving into our cities! If you’re new to Manchester and seeking a job, we offer more than a standard nine to five. Our space is fantastic for socialising, and perfect for post-work Friday night drinks.
We use our office space to attract top talent from all over, including outside the city.”
