Between the 6th & 16th April we will be supporting the Books Forever Appeal in aid of Wood Street Mission, a Manchester-based children’s charity.
The charity is collecting in new books for children between the ages of 0-16yrs who live in Manchester and Salford to give out as a healthy, productive, and long-lasting alternative to the likes of easter eggs.
Wood Street Mission hold a Books Forever project throughout the year, collecting book donations and distributing them through their Family Basics programme, book clubs and book roadshows.
Families on a low income can often struggle to afford new books and may not live near libraries so the Book Clubs aim to bring books closer to children. Thanks to you, children will get to take home a bag full of books of their own; encouraging families to read together, improving literacy and creating a love of reading.
How you can help
