Boda Skins boast best year-to-date
Introducing Boda Skins...
Launched in 2013 and founded in Manchester, Boda Skins is a global fashion brand recognised for their handmade leather jackets worn by celebrities including Justin Timberlake, Khloe Kardashian, Candice Swanepoel and Johnny Depp.
From initially starting the business with a few jackets to its name, founder and entrepreneur, Nathan Alexander, successfully grew the brand organically, tapping into the rise of influencer marketing and promoting products at pop-up stores in global fashion capitals including New York, LA, London and Paris.
Starting their high growth journey...
Following year-on-year growth, Nathan and Managing Director, Blue, identified a need within the business for a more structured growth approach and were introduced to Stuart Dutton who heads up the specialist High Growth support at Sedulo.
Sedulo High Growth supports businesses who have potential and are looking to grow, ensuring they have the right resources in place to manage rapid expansion and create growth opportunities from within.
Whilst working closely with the management team at Boda Skins, Stuart and his team were able to provide an in-depth analysis of their management information, highlighting key performance positions and cost-saving insights.
Benefitting from a holistic approach...
Due to the holistic nature of Sedulo’s services, Boda Skins were also able to access other services, including Personal Tax, Corporation Tax, Payroll and Wealth Management. As a result of their innovative processes and procedures, they claimed back on their Research and Development (R&D), successfully injecting a cash-boost into the business.
Support has also resulted in them increasing their product offer and stock, with new ranges and collections launched including clothes and accessories such as caps, scarves, t-shirts, sweatshirts, belts, jewellery, jeans, bags, backpacks and shearling jackets.
Looking ahead to further growth...
Following their most successful year to date, Nathan has invested £0.5 in a new premises in Salford and employs 30 people from around Greater Manchester, including apprentices who receive specialist training.
With a long-term goal of growing the business 30% year-on-year, Boda will look to invest further in marketing whilst becoming a staple in international fashion markets, including the US and Australia.
