Mark Strafford

Head of Civil Forensic Accounting

Mark is the Head of Civil Forensic Accounting, specialising in forensic accounting and quantum matters in relation to commercial disputes and investigations.

Mark is an ACA qualified forensic accountant, with substantial experience of accounting disputes and investigations at Kroll (formerly Duff & Phelps), Haberman Ilett and Mazars, in respect of significant accounting and damages matters.

Mark has worked on a variety of high-value disputes engagements involving issues of quantum, loss of profits, wasted costs, breach of warranty as well as financial reporting issues and audit / accounting negligence.

In addition, Mark has substantial experience of corporate and regulatory investigations in respect of accounting fraud and professional negligence. In particular this experience includes a lead role in a long-running accounting investigation into the largest asset-based lending fraud in UK history.

Prior to his career in forensics, Mark has experience of statutory audit for medium and large companies and accounts preparation for smaller entities.
