We’re delighted to announce the appointment of Laura McGowan as the People & Culture Director for Sedulo Group.

Laura joins us following over nine years in senior HR roles at global digital, media and creative agency, MediaCom, during which she was responsible for developing a team that organically grew from c130 to almost 500 employees. Prior to her time at MediaCom, Laura has also worked in industries outside of media, with an HR career spanning over 20 years to date.

On what she can bring to her role at Sedulo, Laura said:

“An important focus for me across my career has always been to ensure we take a holistic approach to embracing diversity and inclusion and harnessing the competitive advantage that this can deliver.

“I strongly believe that the importance we place on how we attract, develop, support and retain talent at all levels is key in ensuring we are being reflective of society and the communities we operate in.”

Sedulo Managing Partner, Paul Cheetham-Karcz, added:

“We are on a mission to become a world-class advisory firm and this means the team itself needs to be world-class in nature.

“We constantly look for ways to develop our existing team members, as well as add to the team where we feel it will benefit. Bringing people in from existing world-class environments gives us the transferable skills and experience required to keep progressing the team and we are delighted that Laura has chosen our journey as the next level of progression.

“I look forward to her bringing her extensive people expertise to our organisation.”

Laura’s arrival follows the addition of around 40 team members to the Sedulo Group team in 2021, fuelled by both organic growth and the acquisition of Liverpool-based firm, Wilson Henry.

The Sedulo People & Culture team is also on a growth trajectory of its own, with Laura already looking to fill two positions in her team – a People & Culture Administrator and a People & Culture Advisor.
