Wednesday 23rd November 2016 saw Chancellor Philip Hammond announce his first (and last) Autumn Statement, setting out the Conservative government’s plans for taxes, spending and borrowing, in a post-Brexit Britain.

As it turned out, the most exciting announcement was that this was, in fact, Mr Hammond’s first and last Autumn Statement.
