Between the 6th & 16th April we will be supporting the Books Forever Appeal in aid of Wood Street Mission, a Manchester-based children’s charity.

The charity is collecting in new books for children between the ages of 0-16yrs who live in Manchester and Salford to give out as a healthy, productive, and long-lasting alternative to the likes of easter eggs.

Wood Street Mission hold a Books Forever project throughout the year, collecting book donations and distributing them through their Family Basics programme, book clubs and book roadshows.

Families on a low income can often struggle to afford new books and may not live near libraries so the Book Clubs aim to bring books closer to children. Thanks to you, children will get to take home a bag full of books of their own; encouraging families to read together, improving literacy and creating a love of reading.

How you can help

Step 1. Donate a brand-new book for children suitable for children aged 0-16 years old

Both nonfiction and fiction are welcome – why not give your favourite book as a child!? Below are some examples you could send:

Step 2. Send your book to the Sedulo Manchester office

We are encouraging donations to arrive at our Manchester office by Thursday 15th April. Our team will drop off all donations to the charity on Friday 16th April.

Step 3. Spread the word!

Encourage others to join the appeal by using the hashtag #BooksForeverAppeal.
