The end of the Statutory Sick Pay Rebate Scheme

One of the Coronavirus grants introduced to help businesses will be closing on 17 March 2022.

This relates to the temporary ability to reclaim Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) paid for employee coronavirus related absences or self – isolation, after this date SSP will be payable under normal rules.

The final date for making any new claims for periods up to 17th March 2022 is 24th March 2022.

If you are a payroll client of Sedulo, you need to let your payroll adviser know of any new claims by close of play on Monday 21st March 2022 in order to process your claim by the deadline.

Anyone using alternative payroll providers should check with them and all businesses doing own payroll need to ensure that the payroll department is aware of this change as soon as possible.
