Laura McGowan
Chief People and Culture OfficerLaura joined Sedulo as our People and Culture Director in 2021, bringing with her over 25 years of experience working in HR in a variety of roles. She is now our Chief People and Culture Officer.
Laura is CIPD qualified and up to joining Sedulo, her career has seen her work across a wide variety of industry sectors, including travel, retail, distribution, financial services and most recently in media where she set up the Northern HR function to support a team that organically grew from c130 to almost 500 employees during her 9-year tenure.
Laura’s role here at Sedulo champions the importance we place on how we attract, develop, support, and retain talent at all levels to ensure we are reflective of society and the communities we operate in. Laura is particularly passionate about taking a holistic and innovative approach to how we engage with our team to ensure that everyone has a voice and ultimately harnessing the competitive advantage that this can deliver. Her commitment and drive to constantly provide the whole group with world class people & culture support has led to Sedulo achieving several accreditations including Investors in People Gold, a Best Companies 2* rating and being ranked in the Top 50 Inspiring Workplaces in the UK.
