Senior – Not-For-ProfitDarren is an ACA‑qualified accountant within Sedulo’s specialist Not-for-Profit team, with a particular focus on supporting education providers and organisations in the not‑for‑profit sector.
Before qualifying as an accountant, Darren began his career in education as a Spanish teacher in a London secondary school, giving him first‑hand insight into the challenges faced by schools and academies. This experience continues to inform his advisory work with clients across the education landscape.
Prior to joining Sedulo, Darren worked as an Accounts Senior at a local firm dedicated to charitable and not‑for‑profit organisations. During this time, he supported a wide range of education clients – most notably private schools navigating the introduction of VAT on school fees – advising on compliance, financial planning, and the practical implementation of new VAT processes.
Darren brings a calm, collaborative approach to his work, combining technical expertise with a genuine commitment to helping education and charity sector clients strengthen their financial resilience and deliver positive outcomes for their communities.
